Coiffure

Two forms of German is used in Switzerland, the official high German and the informal Swiss German. The latter is a spoken language without official rules or grammar and varies heavily from Kanton to Kanton to a degree that even Swiss have problems understanding certain dialects. Add a bunch of loanwords from the French language into the mix such as Coiffure, VeloAdieu or Merci and you end up with something that a German native speaker has serious issues understanding. Check out the phrasebook on Wikitravel for a few examples.
